You had better believe it. The spring fishing has been
absolutely wonderful. Limit catches of brown trout and chinook salmon have been
quite a common occurrence. The fish are bulky and are devouring the baitfish
that are packed into our area. Oh yeah, life is good. If you were thinking about
a trip to Lake Ontario, I would suggest you stop thinking and take action.
While the start of
the season has been spectacular, May is shaping up to be even better as the
weather patterns show spring warming trends should continue.
Many believe that the quality fishing is a result of a mild winter that saw
baitfish remaining in the area and predators like browns and salmon remaining
close to their food source. They never wandered too far from their favorite food
supermarket. Eat me, eat me hollered the bait, and the predators did just that.
If you like to fish, or rather I should say catch fish, Oswego, NY awaits your
arrival. Spectacular fishing will be the norm; fishing is that good, no brag,
just fact.
